Description

Dramatic 1950s painting by Ohio artist Arthur Edward Bard (American, 1905-1979) depicting a howling collie -- who looks a lot like Lassie -- calling for help on behalf of what appears to be an injured lamb. (This is Bard's treatment of an earlier work attributed to German artist Albrecht Schenck.) Painting measures 28" x 39" in 34" x 45" gilt frame. Excellent condition, both frame and painting.

*Personal checks are accepted -- shipping will be held until the check clears.

Tax Information

Florida buyers will be charged 7% sales tax on the hammer price of items. If you have a valid tax-exempt resale certificate,please email a copy of it to info@blackwellauctions.com to have the sales tax removed.
