Lot 622: After, Aime Perret

After Aime Perret (French, 1847-1927) oil on press board, untitled, signed on verso l.r. Although the piece is signed as Perret might have originally, the piece is after her work as opposed to having been done by the artist herself. From the later half of the 20th century, this painting depicts a French country scene (typical of Perret's work) with a crowd of people dancing around a band and some other relaxing in the grass. Image 21" x 28", frame 25" x 32". Some minor craquelure, frame is newer decorative piece.
