ALBERT HORATIO SLADE (American, 1843-1922) "BEACH AT VENTURA, CALIF". Unframed oil on canvas panoramic scene of a curving beach with houses at one end, sailboats on a blue water with low hills beyond. Signed lower right "A H Slade". Titled in pencil on back of canvas. A fine early California coastal scene that is well worth some restoration and framing. SIZE: 18" x 40". CONDITION: Appears to have some inpainting in right side trees, two small tears on left side with chipped paint, dirty. Otherwise good. 9-93058 (4,000-6,000)
