Condition Report

Tack holes to corners, sheet size 13 3/8 x 20 1/2 in.

Old tape residue to all edges recto, archival cloth taped recto to backing mat (cannot examine the reverse due to this mounting), toning, mat burn to edges is more pronounced at the u.r. corner, scattered fox marks some of which (about 4) have been over-painted in white, primarily in the u.c. and c.r. areas.

To further explain the mounting, it appears that archival tape was applied to the edges of the reverse, extending out beyond the edges of the sheet. Then these extended edges of tape were affixed to the back mat with similar tape. Occasionally this second application of tape overlaps the front of the work in some places to about 1/8 inch. The work does not appear to be laid down, as a sheet of paper can be slid under the sheet in one open area along ther lower right side of the work.
