Lot 75: ALBIN POLASEK (1879-1965)

inscribed ©Albin Polasek with the Roman Bronze Works N-Y- foundry mark bronze, weathered patina Born in Frenstat, Moravia, Albin Polasek immigrated to the United States in 1901. He eventually moved to Philadelphia where he studied sculpture at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts under Charles Grafly. For many years he was an instructor at the Chicago Art Institute.
