A portrait artist of increasing prominence, Raho was recently commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery, London, to paint a portrait of Dame Judi Dench. Raho was born in the Bahamas and graduated from Goldsmiths College in 1994 following which he was included in the 'Young British Artist' showcase Brilliant! at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis. He counts Damien Hirst among his collectors, and he has exhibited in Tokyo, New York, and Salzburg. Two of his drawings were donated by the Judith Rothschild Foundation to the Museum of Modern Art, New York, in 2005. He lives in south London with his wife Catherine who is a curator.
