Alfonso Toft 1871-1964 British Oils on board "Dinton, Buckinghamshire" Signed lower left, painted 1938. 6½ x 9½ in. Mounted, glazed and framed. A finely painted atmospheric work showing figures in summer fields with breeze laden trees in late afternoon light. Toft regularly exhibited at The Baillie Gallery as part of 'The Black Frame Sketch Club', and won praise for his work 'The Millstream' in The Studio Magazine of 1909.
