Alfred Feinberg (1883-1970) Rare Pencil Signed WPA era Etching New York State Landscape.Professionally matted and framed. Measures 19 1/2"x16 1/2" x.75" Weight is 3 pds 8 oz. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Collection. Mr. Feinberg studied at the Art Students League and at the National Academy of Design. He was the anatomical illustrator and teaching member of The Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York beginning in 1911. His drawings appeared in numerous medical journals and textbooks. His love was the art of landscape and portrait etchings that he studied at the Art Students League and something he continued in his spare time. REF: National Gallery of Art, Washington DC
