Description

James N. Muir was born in Indianapolis, Indiana 1945. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point for one and a half years and completed his B.S. Degree at Indiana University in 1970, while also having served six years in both the U.S. Army and Air Force. His professional art career as a sculptor began in Sedona, Arizona 1980 where he has continued to be a full-time professional artist for over three decades.

Preferred Shipper: Local UPS Store #0747,

We work closely with UPS Store #0747. They will give quotes, pack your merchandise and ship to your location, and handle issues associated with shipping directly with the buyer. Of course you can choose any shipper of your choice. We use UPS on most of our smaller items because of the lower rates.

For heavy weight or larger oversize items we will put in in touch with one of our other shippers that handle heavy bronzes and antique furniture.

CHECK LIST: In order to save time and speed up your shipping order: please follow the Steps listed below.

1. Invoice payment via WePay at Invaluable. Most credit cards accepted.
2. Notify shipper by calling 480-981-3881 or email: store0747@theupsstore.com Supply them with your information for shipping.
3. Send email to Ed at copleyart@aol.com and let him know that you have contacted the shipper. Once this is completed, we will have our driver drop off your item for shipping.
4. Contact persons at UPS store: Barbara or Marcos.

Our staff at QC Fine Arts Gallery makes all reasonable effort to describe lots accurately, but as opinions will differ even among experts all statements written or verbal are considered our opinion and are not to be taken as definitive or as statements of fact. We encourage all bidders to review photos and descriptions carefully prior to determining their level of interest and bidding.

Notice to bidders: Condition reports and additional photographs are available by request. The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition.

Any condition statements given, as a courtesy to client, are only an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact. QC Fine Arts Gallery shall have no responsibility for any error or omission. All lots offered are sold "AS IS."

When it comes to all artwork sold by QC Fine Arts Gallery we ask all potential bidders to ask any and all questions before placing any bids. All lots may not contain a condition report, but this does not imply that the artwork is in pristine condition. By placing any bids, you are agreeing that you have inspected the item to you full satisfaction and have asked any and all questions of your liking (ex: condition, provenance, and size, medium).
All authorship of items in our auction is described according to the following terms: By [Artist Name] in our opinion, the work is by the artist.

Attributed to [Artist Name] in our opinion, the work may be ascribed to the artist on the basis of style, but there may be some question as to actual authorship.

In the manner of [Artist Name] in our opinion, the work was executed by an unknown hand, but was designed deliberately to emulate the style of the artist.

After [Artist Name] in our opinion, the work was executed by an unknown hand, but is a deliberate copy of a known work by the artist.

All items must be paid for within four (4) business days from the date of auction and ALL items must be removed within four (4) business days. Any item not removed or shipped within this time is subject to a storage fee of $10.00 per item per day, payable to QC Fine Arts storage. If an item has not shipped, it will be sent to our storage location after the first four (4) business days, unless other shipping arrangements have been made by the buyer. If other arrangements have been made, the buyer must contact our gallery within three (3) days of the auction date to arrange pick-up. If items are not removed within four (4) business days, they will be sent to storage. All storage fees and invoices must be paid in full to retrieve items sent to storage. Once an item is sent to storage, QC Fine Arts Gallery is not liable for it.

QC Fine Arts Gallery will not guarantee the authenticity of any signature unless so stated at the time of auction. We will only guarantee the medium in which the particular work is executed. We are not responsible for typographical errors.

PAYMENT

QC Fine Arts Gallery accepts the following methods of payment from buyers: cash, wire transfer, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and certified check: personal or business check is also accepted from buyers, but merchandise will not be released until after personal and business checks clear the bank. We will charge a $50.00 fee on all checks returned by the buyer's bank. Once buyers receive their invoice and wish to pay via credit card they can use the services available via Invaluable WePay service, or contact QC Fine Arts Gallery for other arrangements.

Buyer's Premium: A buyer's premium of 25% applied to online purchases will be added to the successful bid price and is payable by the purchaser as part of the total purchase price.
All purchases are subject to Arizona sales tax rate of 8.4% unless we have a valid resale certificate on file. A resale tax form must be completed in full prior to time of purchase.
