Terms & Conditions
J.S. Dill Auctions, Inc. endeavors to create a pleasant and rewarding environment for all friends, customers and clients. The Company will always extend the utmost courtesy and attention to any situation that may arise during the auction exchange. However, certain terms and conditions do apply to our policies and procedures. For your understanding, knowledge, protection and compliance these terms and conditions are outlined below:
METHODS OF PAYMENT: All funds are to be in United States Dollars (USD) only. VISA, Mastercard and Discover card(s) are accepted. Personal, business, certified/cashier's checks, traveler's checks, money orders, bank wire transfers and cash are also accepted methods of payment for those in attendance at the auction. On-line winning bidders must remit by credit card. We do not accept American Express, Paypal, third-party checks or any other form of credit card. Note that bank wire transfers take several days for the account to be credited. Your financial institution may also impose a fee for this service. Using this method an additional transaction fee will apply and is as follows: $10.00 - United States customers (and) $25.00 Non United States customers.
PAYMENT: All merchandise is to be paid for day-of-sale. Local customers and those with conventional (off-line) winning absentee or telephone bids will be expected to remit by credit card upon notification from the Company. We will notify winning bidders by telephone within four (4) hours of the conclusion of the auction. Successful on-line bidders will be notified by the Company day-of-sale by telephone and respective credit cards charged according to the gavel price and other related charges. Accounts that are not satisfied within thirty (30) days of the sale date will be subject to a 2% monthly finance charge. Each returned check is subject to a $50.00 service charge. Buyers are liable for all attorneys' fees associated with the collection of any balances due.
ON-LINE PAYMENT STRUCTURE: Successful on-line winning bidders' totals will include the winning bid price with buyer's premium, on-line transaction fee of three (3) percent, sales tax and shipping charges as applicable. Pennsylvania bidders will be charged six (6) percent Pennsylvania Sales Tax in addition to these other fees. Out-of-state bidders will not be charged Sales Tax. Those customers residing in Allegheny or Philadelphia Counties will be charged seven (7) percent Pennsylvania Sales Tax. Note that all tax-exempt Pennsylvania customers must evidence it by providing a hard copy Sales & Use Tax Exemption form of Pennsylvania exemption.
SHIPPING: Shipping is the complete responsibility of the buyer. The buyer is responsible for all associated shipping costs. We will not crate or ship most furniture (contact us for exceptions), other oversized items or unusually fragile or structurally compromised material. All shipping will be completed by United Parcel Service (UPS). Items will be delivered to their local depot, by the auction company, free of charge, and it is the responsibility of UPS to contact winning bidders and complete shipping arrangements directly with them. The Company reserves the right to deliver sold merchandise to USP up to three (3) business days subsequent to the auction. UPS shipping information includes: (to be completed).
Shipping costs are based upon delivery zip/postal code, number, size and weight of packages and packing time. As shipping costs cannot be determined until packing is completed, initial charges will not include shipping fees. These fees will subsequently be determined directly between UPS and the recipient and the recipient's credit card charged accordingly.
Merchandise that we do not ship must be picked up within two weeks of the sale date. It will be housed at our facility free-of-charge for this period. After this period it will be subject to a monthly storage fee. Items will be considered abandoned after sixty (60) days of non-removal.
ON-LINE CREDIT CARD PAYMENT FORM: All credit card information may be provided securely through our website using this form. This is not an automatic payment. We are enabled to process your credit card through this information and will charge the card only after completed winning bidder notification.
REFUND POLICY: Refunds are given at the sole discretion of the auctioneer. They will be considered only on items, which are inadvertently misrepresented, by catalog photo and/or description. The company makes no claim, expressed or implied, as to age, provenance or condition beyond those stated in the catalog. The company will exercise due diligence in all photo and text reporting associated with individual auction lots.
Refunds will not be given for any item removed and subsequently returned to the auction gallery by off-line buyers.
JS Dill Auctions Bidding Contract
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS: Bidding on any item indicates the bidder's acceptance of the terms and conditions of JS Dill Auctions, Inc.'s policy. We recommend that bidders read and understand all of the terms and conditions associated with an auction prior to bidding.
SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS: The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer is the buyer. The auctioneer is the sole determiner of the successful bidder. Once the auctioneer declares the winning bid and successful bidder, the successful bidder immediately assumes full risk and responsibility for the purchased lot.
JS Dill Auctions, Inc and its auctioneers are licensed and bonded by and in favor of the state of Pennsylvania, USA.
Buyer's Premium
A buyer's premium of 13% will be applied to all winning bid amounts.
An online bidding fee of 3% will also be applied.
