Portrait of a Reverend. Purportedly the work of Nathaniel Jocelyn (New Haven, Connecticut, and New York, 1796-1881) and depicting the Reverend Harry Crosswell (1778-1858), a minister at Trinity Church in New Haven, Connecticut, for over forty years. Oil on canvas, 11 x 10 in., in a molded giltwood frame. Condition: Craquelure with some small paint losses to u.r. background.
