Ida von Ferenczy donated the painting with the posthumous portrayal of the young Empress Sissi to the Maria Kirchental Wallfahrtskirche in Sankt Martin near Salzburg

Condition:
The picture is in overall good condition with slight signs of wear consistent with its age. Occasional retouching, mainly in the border area visible under UV light. Otherwise generally of good impression. The image dimensions are 34.5 x 20 cm, framed 44 x 25 cm. The frame shows slight signs of wear.

Andreas Wildhack (1842-1924)
Andreas Wildhack is born in 1842 in Vienna. He studied at the Viennese Academy under Wurzinger and Karl Mayer. His favored techniques are oil, watercolor and pastel, but he was also a miniature painter and a restaurateur. His daughter Paula Wildhack was also a painter.
