Notes

We are grateful to Marijke C. de Kinkelder of the Rijksbureau voor Kunsthistorische Documentatie, The Hague who, on the basis of photographs, has confirmed the present painting to be a view of the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam by de Lorme. She also notes that another signed work from 1662 in the Getty Museum, Los Angeles (inv. no. 78 PA 69) shows the same spot but from a closer viewpoint.
