We are grateful to Marijke de Kinkelder of the RKD for confirming the attribution on the basis of a transparency. She compares the picture to two similar panoramic views, both signed, one of which is in the Museum Kunst Palast, Düsseldorf (see Bettina Baumgärtel, Ein Fest der Malerei. Die niederländischen und flämischen Gemälde des 16.-18. Jahrhunderts. Bestandskatalog der Gemäldesammlung museum kunst palast, Sammlung der Kunstakadamie Düsseldorf, Leipzig, 2005, pp. 48-9), and the other sold at Sotheby's, London, 11 December 1985, lot 198.

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium, which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.
