Condition Report

Overall, the condition of the bronze is good, with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some wear to the patina at the high points and extremities, including to the boot and to the map. There is some minor flaking and scratching to the patina in areas, including to the proper right side of Napoleon's jacket. The bronze is cast in sections, there are stable original joints visible at the back of the chair and at the shoulders. There are a few small slightly visible original plugs, including in the back of the chair and behind the proper left shoulder. There are few very small chips to the edges of the black marble base. The pen is cast separately .
