Antonio De Simone (1851 - 1907), pair late nineteenth century gouache studies - steam yachts at sea by daylight and moonlight, signed, one dated '97, in glazed gilt frames, 26.5cm x 46.5cm and 26.5cm x 45cm
Daylight study - tear to left of signature on bottom edge, another tear / fold across signature, some scuffing to paint in sky, otherwise good condition. Moonlight scene - two tears on left hand side, another at the top 4cm long, water damage to right side down along beneath the yacht, several areas of scuffing to paint / paper, appears to be a small tear beneath the signature
