Lot 196: Armand-Hubert-Simon Leleux (French, 1818-1885)

Leleux was a student of Ingres. Much of his work was similar to that off his brother Adolphe, concentrating on genre scenes. He travelled around Europe and was made Chevalier de Légion d'Honneur in 1860, gaining medals in 1844,1847,1848,1857 and 1859. Museums in Paris, Toulouse, Geneva and Bordeaux have conserved his work.
