Description

Armando Cermignani ( 1888-1957 ) Italian painter , engraver and ceramist. It is a volunteer in the First World War, he was wounded twice and prisoner interned in the camp of Celle , Germany, where he met Gadda . After the Liberation he was appointed Prefect of Pescara and takes on a political career that led him to be elected Senator in the second term. Original woodcut, 1924, image approx. 8 x 8 in. plus margins. VG
