Notes

Provenance: Crosby and George Bonsall.

With a copy of the printed book, signed by the author on the dedication page. Nathalie Babbitt noted in her review in the Washington Post that the mountain "has a sort of draped, implacable look to it as it looms on its haunches behind Min Lo's house, wearing a halo of mist. It is only peripherally derivative of Chinese painting, mainly it is Lobel." She found the book to be, like most of his efforts, "a splendid story, seemingly simple, but finally full of subtleties."
