ARTHUR BRANDISH HOLTE (British, 19th Century) "EARLY SUMMER". Oil on canvas summer landscape shows a stream beside a field with cows, large trees and grasses. A farmhouse is seen in the distance with a flock of birds under a colorful blue sky. Signed lower left. Also signed, titled and dated "1872" on back of canvas. Housed in its original gesso decorated gilt frame having title, artist's name and dated "1874". SIZE: 16" x 24". CONDITION: Very good. 9-74563 MD
