Point of the brush and red wash. 393 by 272 mm. This drawing was formerly attributed to Agostino Scilla, but is in fact typical of Petrazzi's style. A corpus of drawings by Petrazzi was first established by Mr. Philip Pouncey (see 'Trois nouveau dessins de Rutilio Manetti et une hypothese pour Astolfo Petrazzi', Revue de l'Art, no.14, 1971, pp.67-71) a drawing attributed to Petrazzi by Mr. Pouncey has recently been exhibited at the Uffizi (see Florence, Philip Pouncey per gli Uffizi, 1993-1994, no.28).
