Description

Attribuée à Auguste Ledru (1860 - 1902) (France) Aiguière figurative en métal Art Nouveau représentant l'histoire de la pipe de Pan A French Art Nouveau style figural ewer, bronze with silver patina. Made after a model by Auguste Ledru. Vase is unsigned. The handle is in the form of the greek god Pan, with the face of the nymph Syrinx emerging underneath. The rest of the body is decorated with foliage and birds.The figures come from the myth concerning the origin on Pan's pipe. Une aiguière à la française de style Art Nouveau, bronze à patine argentée. Fabriqué d'après un modèle d'Auguste Ledru. Le vase est non signé. La poignée est sous la forme du dieu grec Pan, avec le visage de la nymphe Syrinx émergeant en dessous. Le reste du corps est décoré de feuillages et d'oiseaux. Les chiffres proviennent du mythe concernant l'origine de la pipe de Pan. 28 x 12 x 12 cm 11 x 4.7 x 4.7 in Condition report: Extensive corrosion has developed over the surface of the vase. Conditions

A buyer's premium of 20% will be added to the
hammer price of each lot and is payable by the buyer as
part of the purchase price.
Lots are sold to the highest bidder. In case of dispute, the
decision of the auctioneer will be final. Lots should be picked
up immediately after the sale. Purchasers must pay for their
lots on delivery. An interest charge of two (2) % per month
will be charged to buyers on all overdue accounts. Payment by cash, cheque, money-order (CAN or US currency) and credit cards Visa and MasterCard are accepted for payments up to five thousand (5000) Canadian Dollars.
All bids are in Canadian funds. Bids in US funds will be
converted at the prevailing exchange rate.
Should a purchaser wish to submit an item for expertization,
the auctioneer must be notified and the lot paid at the time
of sale. If the lot proves to be not as described, the purchaser's
money shall be repaid in full.
Material described as having defects are not returnable on
account of condition. No lots may be returned by persons
who have had the opportunity to examine the material
before the sale.
Any returns for whatever reason must be made within thirty
(30) days of receipt of lot(s). Champagne Auctions are
obligated to pay all consignement lots within this amount
of time.
The auctioneer reserves the right to group two (2) or more
lots and also to withdraw any lot or lots from sale.
The placing of a bid shall constitute acceptance of the
foregoing conditions of sale. Bids will be executed by the
auctioneer.
Bidding increments are at the discretion of the auctioneer.
Mail, fax, phone or online bids are entered on a first bid
received basis. In the event of a tie bid, the first bid received
has priority.

Shipping Terms

risk and responsibility.

Canadian Customers Taxes

The G.S.T. of 5 % for Canadian
residents and the Q.S.T. of 9.975 % for Quebec residents ( or
the H.S.T. for residents of the participating provinces) are also
applicable to all successful bids as part of the purchase price.
