Description

Attributed to Charles Rosenberg (1745-1844) Portrait of a Gentleman facing right, with Rosenburg, manufacturer's label and Profile-painter to their Majesties, their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Prince of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of York, 14 Grove, Bath, one English School (19th century): Portrait Silhouette of a Gentleman, facing right, wearing a delicate lace scarf or cravat, indistinctly inscribed verso with the sitter's name and some partial dates possibly 1810-1816, the backing board also bearing a partial wax collector's seal and numbered 32, black ink on paper, in a verre églomisé glass mount, 8cm by 6cm; and One further example, a gentleman black ink on the reverse of convex glass and is extensively inscribed verso with details of villages in the Quantocks Somerset, possibly Joseph Guerin, 7cm by 5.5cm and 7.5cm by 5cm respectively (3)
