Condition Report

Traces of the weave show through in some areas notably the pink flowers however having taken it out of the frame there is no evidence of cavas at the edges. On an old oak panel which has been re-inforced due to a vertical split running just to the right of the centre. Has been cleaned and restored by Garve Hessenberg within the past 10 years. Raised craquelure running throughout the work, no sign of any signature, framed in a modern gilt scroll frame.
Our vendor has spoken to the restorer who has told him he believes the work to be canvas laid on panel. However another client has spoken to the restorer who told him he thought it was on panel! I regret buyers must come to their own decision on this.
