Notes

The Worshipful Company of Drapers is one of the leading Livery Companies of the City of London. It ranks third in the order of precedence of Livery Companies, thus making it one of the "Great Twelve", along with the Grocers and Goldsmiths. Most likely to have been used originally as carriage ornaments, these panels may well have formed part of the decoration for the company's retinue during the Lord Mayor's Parade.
