PROVENANCE

Lady Susannah Binch, Beaumont Hall, Thorpe-le-Soken, Essex
By whom sold, London, Christie's, 15 May 1953, lot 7 (as by Thomas de Keyser), for 140 Guineas to Cevat;
With Daan Cevat, London, from whom acquired for the present collection.

NOTE

This portrait can be dated in the 1620's. The gloves in the right hand of the lady, may refer to her marriage. It is therefore plausible that this painting once formed part of a pair of wedding portraits.
