Autographs: FIRMIN & POSTGATE: FIRMIN PETER (1928- ) POSTGATE OLIVER (1925- ) British Animators. A good, original colour pen and ink illustration drawn and signed by Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate on a small oblong 4to white card, being the original illustration of Ivor the Engine used in Ivor the Engine - The First Story (1979) showing Ivor approaching a tunnel beneath a bridge. Signed by both Firmin and Postgate to the lower white border. Professionally matted in ivory and framed and glazed in a gold coloured frame to an overall size of 14.5 x 15. Accompanied by a hardback edition of Ivor the Engine - The First Story, featuring the illustration, signed by both Firmin and Postgate with their names alone to the title page. VG to EX, 2
