Li Rihua (1565-1635) was from Jiaxing in Zhejiang province. His style name was Junshi and his pseudonym was Zhulan. He attained the jinshi degree in 1592 and went on to hold such positions as director of education in Nanjing. Li Rihua collected more than ten thousand books, primarily literature and history texts. He was good at calligraphy and painting, as well as connoisseurship. The famous collector Qian Yiqian spoke highly of him in the late Ming period.
