Item Overview

Description

Autograph Letter Signed ("Djuna"), 5 pp, 8vo, Paris, June 24, 1937, to Antonia White, discussing writing, light spotting and thumbing to a few leaves.

Barnes writes novelist Antonia White ("Tony"), thanking her for her comments on Barnes' novel Nightwood, mentioning T.S. Eliot ("Tom"), who wrote the novel's introduction, and exhorting White to "Keep on writing—it's a woman's only hope—except lace making. They do say that dulls the eye in about 5 years, if persevered in."
