BARON ERNST VON MAYDEL (Austrian, 1888-1960) "A BICYCLE BUILT FOR TWO".Outstanding fantasy watercolor scene shows two grasshoppers riding a bicycle built for two across a long grass blade amongst colorful flowers. Signed lower right. Reverse having attached a two-page brochure from the "Exhibition of Motifs Aquarelles by Baron Ernst Von Maydell from the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington D.C. November 3rd to December 2nd, 1951". This watercolor was number 33 in this exhibition. Housed in a silver painted molded wood frame. SIZE: Sight: 9-3/4" x 10". CONDITION: Toning to background, very good. 9-90664
