The Jesuit Church in Antwerp was dedicated to Saint Ignatius of Loyola until 1773, when it was re-dedicated to Saint Carlos Borromeo. The interior of the Church was painted by a number of Flemish artist's, including Pieter Neefs and Sebastian Vrancx (see Antwerp verhaal van een
metropool, exh. cat., Antwerp, Hessenhuis, 25 June - 10 Oct 1993, p.113, pl.70, reproduced) and Willem van Ehrenberg (op. cit., p.64, pl.33 reproduced).
