Harold Thomas Beament, R.C.A. (1898-1984) MONTREAL SKYLINE Southam Press RARE Limited edition offset print from original oil on hand made paper produced by Southam Press Montreal Limited. In good preowned vintage condition. Original frame. Inscription on reverse. Beament was a landscape, figure and marine painter and print-maker using a decorative, realistic style. Attended the Ontario College of Art in 1922. Taught at the Montreal Museum of Fine Art. Received Jessie Dow Prize 1935. Associate RCA member 1936 and full member 1947. Served as president of the RCA from 1964 to 1967. In 1955, Beament designed a ten-cent stamp with an Inuit figure. Artworks are found in the National Gallery of Canada, The Dominion Archives, The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, The Museum of the province of Quebec, the Seagram collection and elsewhere. 14 x 12 inches including frame
