Karlan's Arms & AntiquesIndian Trail, NC, USNovember 04, 2019

Item Overview

Description

Nice pencil drawing by listed artist Bernard Naudin depicting a scene of what appears to be Napoléon reviewing his troops. It depicts what looks like Napoleon on the left side of the drawing reviewing a regiment of soldiers with the rifles standing at attention. It appears that they are wearing bearskin caps and have backpacks on. There's a flag that one of the soldiers is holding while Napoléon reviews his troops. The drawing measures approximately 6 x 7 1/2 inches inside the frame and approximately 12 3/4 x 10 3/4 in the frame. It has a Paris retailer label on the back with a small pencil notation of the artist on the upper right-hand side. Overall nicely framed ready to display in your French First Empire or Napoleonic collection.
