David Goldmann, Vienna; Seized from the above by Hitler’s agents and allocated in the central depot of the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna (inv. D.G. 25), where it was reserved for the Führermuseum; Transferred to Alt Ausse (inv. no. 2983) for the Kunstmuseum Linz (inv. no. 2644, as Anonymous, Dutch 17th century); Recovered by the Allied Forces on 15 July 1945 and sent to the Munich Central Collecting Point (inv. no.4334, as Dutch 17th century); Given over to the Austrian Government Kremsmünster depot (inv. no. K1347) on 16 May 1946; Restituted to David Goldmann; Thence by descent to the present owner.
