lower right. Exhibited: The Philadelphia Watercolor Club, 1908, no. 66; Syracuse Gallery, New York, 1909. Provenance: A. G. Hazard; This painter, etcher, and illustrator was born in Syracuse, NY. She went to private schools in Philadelphia and also studied under Thomas Eakins at PAFAfrom 1877-1882. She studied etching under Stephen Parrish and was in Paris from 1885-87 studying with Eduardo-Leon Garrido. She actively exhibited at the Paris Salon, PAFA, Boston Art Club, and the Boston MFA. She also displayed work at 1893 World's Colombian Exposition, 1903 Exposition Universelle, 1913 National Exposition in Knoxville, TN, and the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition.
