oil on canvas, signed and dated at the lower right "Czedekowski B. 1926," depicting Mrs. Stanley Dell and her two children (John H. and Robert P. Lamont), an impressive full length portrait with the figures seated casually in an interior, retaining an old paper label identifying the sitters on the verso, presented in the original period gilt composition frame.

Czedekowski garnered a name for himself by painting portraits of prominent political and society personages. This portrait was completed in Paris and is illustrated in BOLESLAW JAN CZEDEKOWSKI: THE ARTIST AND HIS WORK by Karl Strobl (Vienna: Verlag "Kunst ins Volk," 1959). A copy of this book is included in the lot.
