FEDOR KARLOVICH BURKHARDT (RUSSIAN 1854-1918), "View of a Forest Lake", oil on canvas, 45.5 x 68 cm (17 7/8 x 26 3/4 in.), signed lower right. Fedor Burkhardt was a native of St. Petersburg. He exhibited at the "Moskovskoe Obshestvo Lyubiteli Khudozhestv" from 1889 to 1913 periodically, at the exhibitions of the St. Petersburg "Obshestvo Khudozhnikov" (1894, 1896, 1903, 1910, 1912), and various exhibitions of watercolors, pastels, and drawings in Moscow (1900, 1902, 1913)
