Original Cape Cod Lighthouse Watercolor by Marilyn Chace Scofield (1936-2011). Beach and lighthouse Cape Cod, professionally framed and double matted In frame 16.50"x14.50"x.75". Weight is 2 pds 9 oz. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Estate. Born in 1936, into the 14th generation family of Marion & Alan Chace of East Orleans, Marilyn attended Orleans High School, graduating in 1954. An accomplished award winning artist, who captured many familiar seascapes of the Cape Cod area, Marilyn served as a dedicated member and partner of Nauset Painters, Gallery 31, Peacocks Pride Art Gallery, the Eastham Painter's Guild and the Saltworks Gallery. She shared her love of painting and her eye for a photographic scene by teaching painting classes in the off season.
