Schwartz studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Chicago. He developed a realist style with abstract expressionism and cubism, influenced by natural light. His works can be found in over 25 colleges and universities, including Harvard, as well as permanent collections such as The Smithsonian Institution, and the British Museum in London.
