The Maiden's Blush Rose
Signed "Hampel" c.r., titled and with a stamp from Lechertier Barbe Ltd., 95 Jermyn
London, on the stretcher, a label from The Rowley Gallery, London, affixed to the frame verso, and with a conservator's label from Gilman Studios, Inc., Amesbury, Massachusetts, on the frame backing.
Oil on canvas, 20 1/8 x 18 1/8 in. (51.3 x 46.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Fine craquelure, varnish inconsistencies.



N.B. According to the National Portrait Gallery British Artists' Suppliers index, Lechertier Barbe Ltd. remained in business at 95 Jermyn Street from 1898 until 1970.
