Painting. Oil On Canvas, 28" x 24". Listed (no. 90) in the catalog of retrospective at the Museo Nacional, Havana, 1979. Retrato de Jorge - portrait of Jorge Fernandez de Castro, an architect who, with his wife Marta Sardinas, was a major collector of Cuban Vanguardia works. Carlos Enriquez' portrait of Marta is considered to be one of the two or three best portraits by the artist, also in the collection of Pan American Art Projects. The piece was exhibited at the Museum in Havana and is illustrated in several publications, including the Carlos Enriquez publication by Juan Martinez, the Museo Nacional de Cuba retrospective exhibit catalog.
