This work is sold with a letter of authenticity from Le Comité Nadal, dated 22/12/11 and will be included in Mr. John Duncalfe's forthcoming book on Carlos Nadal's works on paper.

Le Comité Nadal have suggested that this work was possibly a study for the oil painting Cuenca illustrated in H. Nyssen, Carlos Nadal, Avignon, 1980. p.152. A similar work is also illustrated in J. Duncalfe, Carlos Nadal 1917-1998, An English Perspective, Harrogate, 2010, p.291.
