Mrs. Petrina is best known for her 1930's illustrations in Milton's Paradise Lost. She was awarded two Guggenheim fellowships and painted up until the year of her death. Oil on board. Classical style scene with angels. 38" x 27" s.s., in late 19th Century gilt over composition frame with red velvet liner to 48" x 36". Not examined out of frame.
