Standing Nude with a Blue Bird
Signed "C. Eksergian" c.r., with a partial paper label inscribed "Mr. C.
Eksergian" affixed to the tacking edge on the reverse.
Oil on canvas, 41 x 27 in. (104.0 x 68.5 cm), framed.
Condition: Retouch, craquelure, minor paint losses, surface accretions and grime.

Condition Report

With a label from Bigelow & Jordan, Boston, Massachusetts, affixed to the back of the frame. The artist's signature runs vertically along the right edge, 14 inches up from the l.r. corner. Scattered dashes and strokes of retouch throughout the background. There are areas of cupping with minor flaking within the background and also between the figure's knees. Varnish inconsistencies. Scattered drips and accretions. The work would benefit from cleaning.
