Condition Report

With a 17-inch vertical split to the panel starting at u.r., a 6-inch vertical split starting at u.l. and a 12-inch vertical split starting at l.r. Each split with surrounding pigment loss. Three vertical surface scratches with pigment loss ranging in size from 1/2-inch to 2-inches are visible at l.l. Damage, with some loss of wood, to the u.r. corner. Scattered areas of minor pigment loss overall. With a small area of restoration around the sitter''s left eye with another minor area to the right of his white cravat visible under UV examination.
