NOTE

Vital Cornu specialised in allegorical figures, genre scenes and portraits and exhibited at the Salon from 1876. The Susse foundry cast many of his bronzes but the Victoire Triomphante appears to have been edited exclusively by the Société des Bronzes de Paris.
