His paintings illustrate the confident life of the new Chinese middle classes. On the other hand the the partly exaggerated features of the faces allow to interprete the paintings as critic of the contemporary consumer society. - Chinese painter. F. studied at the Chungqing academy. He is professor in Beijing. His loud coloured paintings make him an important exponent of Chinese pop art in a variant called Gaudy Art in China.
