A gentleman, in black satin doublet, white lace falling ruff, centre-parted short brown hair, moustache and pointed beard

oval, 2 1/8 in. (52 mm.) high, turned ivory case, the lid centred with an engraved rose, the base inset with reeded oval ebonised horn mount (2)
