Condition Report

Overall the condition of the wood is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is minor non-active worming to the wood, and there are some consequent losses at the bottom at the back. There is a later wood support to the underside. There are losses and flaking to the polychromy throughout, particularly to the red cloak and blue lining. It is possible that the gilding may be partly refreshed. There are a few small losses to the wood, including to the edges of the cloak. There is very minor stable splitting to the wood consistent with the material, including a slight split to the proper left hip. There are a few small holes to the back, a metal hook, and an area patched with canvas.
