Conceived in 1962.

The work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the legal heir to the artist's work.

"Loukopoulos' sculpture is monumental even in small works. It gives an immediate assurance of weight and solidity accentuated by the just use of the material." This excerpt, taken from A. Xydis' preface to the exhibition catalogue of the artist's participation in the 1966 Venice Biennale, applies perfectly to Composition. Robust and unswerving, it seems like a natural rock formation that defies time, subjugating the surrounding space to its mystical stereometry. υ1 As noted by Professor C. Christou, Loukopoulos gave form to inner relations and revealed the secret forces of life, always aiming at the immutable and the universal. υ2 The ingenious balancing of volumes and wise arrangement of planes, as well as the work's pervasive radiance and tension, generated by its inner energy, are the hallmarks of a true sculptor who advanced with a measured, steady pace towards the first rank.
